In the land of the Blue Hairs, this little place is tucked away inside The Villages. Filled with ice cream and candy and usually is about 55 degrees inside, so be prepared to be cool while you are inside. There are some seats but you may have to have a friend or family member hold a set while you get your ice cream. Pricing is average and serving sizes are nice and relatively generous. When it is busy it may be a bit confusing where to place your order. Located back from the center court yard, you'll have to seek it out as it is located on a back road in this part of the town square.

I've been here twice and there has been no line both times. I have ordered a shake both times and it's tasted great! First Häagen Dazs shop I've been to that makes their shakes smooth and with great consistency. Quick service, nice staff.

Nothing has changed. Decent ice cream (but not the best) - overpriced - unfriendly atmosphere. I would rather go to Milky Moos in Enterprise, Alabama!!!!! Why don't the owners understand that service can totally change the impression that one has of a business. By the way, pricing is not average - may be for the area but definitely not average for a good ice cream place - most of the really good ones are homemade with good pricing - not the Haagen Dazs overpricing. We all know haagen dazs ice cream is amazing, that's why it's sold across the country for a pretty penny. So, when you go to a haagen daz store and pay an even steeper unit price for special German ice cream--- you expect something to elevate the product above a pint you could buy at the grocery store. What would that be???? .....Oh, customer service. Unfortunately I have never been to a haagen dazs store with good customer service, this store is no exception. I ordered three small ice creams. One was put together by a helper who needed clarification on what kind of chocolate chips I wanted, the ones that look like sprinkles or the ones that look like chocolate chips? That's fine, that's endearing. What wasn't endearing was the scooping lady who did the other two ice creams, with her evil stink eye and poor attitude. I mean, can't you just be nice while scooping ice cream? Apparently that takes too much effort. To me that's not acceptable when someone pays $4 for a sliver of ice cream. Seriously, a sliver-- I had to get my pocket magnifying glass out to confirm that yes, there was ice cream in there. The bad attitude lady was the skimpy scooper, surprise surprise. On the positive side, the view outside this Villages store is really nice, behind it there's a deck with a great view of a lake. What I would do, if I was considering getting ice cream again, is go to the gift ship between City Fire and Red Sauce and get their flavored soft serve. The price is reasonable, the portion size is good, the staff is friendly. You can walk over to the lake and enjoy it there.

I usually love Haagen Daz but have been let down by this store on more than one occasion. From stale cones to having the A/C set at 82 degrees during the summer, the owners obviously don't care about the customers. I believe they count on visitors because the locales I talk to will not go back either. There are other scream shops very close by, there not Haagen Daz but the cones are always fresh and they're much more comfortable inside.

This Haagen-Daz had every flavor possible beyond any store-bought freezer case. I took my niece and nephew here and they really enjoyed trying every single flavor before finally making a decision. Located right on Lake Sumter and set nearby the main area with live music, makes it a great place to take visiting friends before finding a seat to watch the sunset over the lake, or before enjoying some entertaining line-dancing in the town square.
